In-Person Pricing & Booking Policies
Lesson Booking Information & Cancellation Policy | Kyla Forsberg
Voice & Music Lesson Policy (Effective January 2026)
Scheduling & Attendance
-
Lessons may be booked up to 31 days in advance, unless part of a fixed weekly in-person slot.
-
Tuesday and Wednesday in-person lessons at North Shore Unitarian Church (January–June) run on a recurring weekly schedule.
-
Lesson date/time adjustments requested within 48 hours are not guaranteed
-
Lessons cancelled due to teacher illness or absence will not be billed and, if desired, can be rescheduled for a later date.
-
Monthly notices will be sent in advance of any Tuesday/Wednesdays no-lesson days. Unless noted, all Tuesday and Wednesday lessons run as scheduled.
Cancellations & Missed Lessons
Due to studio rental and scheduling limitations, in-person lessons have stricter policies:
-
Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson time are non-refundable and may not be eligible for a make-up lesson.
-
Cancellations made more than 24 hours but less than 14 days before the scheduled lesson time may be eligible for a make-up lesson (online) or lesson time extension, schedule permitting.
-
Rescheduled lessons may be held online when an in-person make-up lesson is not available. The regular in-person lesson rate applies to these make-up lessons.
-
If an eligible make-up option is offered and declined by the student, the original lesson remains payable and no refund or additional make-up will be provided.
-
Only one (1) missed lesson or late cancellation per term may be accommodated without penalty. Rescheduling may be available, if scheduling permits.
-
Families planning short term or extended absences must give 30 days’ notice.
-
More than three late-notice cancellations in six months may result in restricted bookings.
-
Exceptions may be considered in special circumstances, at the teacher’s discretion.
-
Any lesson cancellation due to teacher illness or absence will not be billed.
Payment & Fees
-
Monthly invoices are issued at the end of each month.
-
Payments are accepted via credit card (+3.5% fee), e-transfer, or cheque.
-
Payments are due within 15 days of the invoice date.
-
Unpaid invoices or late payments may result in termination of lessons.
